WHAT IF I MISS MY PICK UP DAY?

In case you miss your recyclable collection day, have too many recyclables, will be away on collection day, or just want that "hands on" recycling experience you may now use our "Silver Bullets" at their new home.

The Public Works facility on 185 Windham Center Road is the new home for the Silver Bullet recycling containers. They are available for use during business hours, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. Monday through Friday. Upon entry through the main gate, follow the recycle signs to the containers.

You may leave ; Cardboard, all boxes, newspaper, shoe boxes, cereal boxes, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, window envelopes, phone books, file folders, gift boxes, gift wrap, shopping bags, all books, aseptic milk & juice cartons,# 1 through 7 plastics, aluminum cans, and glass. You may leave milk jugs, water jugs, detergent bottles, bleach bottles, clear or colored glass, metal food & beverage cans, pots & pans, aluminum foil, aluminum trays, cans and aerosol cans.

It is not mandatory, but we do suggest to please rinse out your containers. Food residue creates odor problems, attracts pests, and creates unhealthy conditions. Help keep this service available to everyone -please use this drop-off center for acceptable recyclables only.

Curbside Recycle bins are available at Public Works. If you are a new resident your first bin is free, any additional bins you may need are $6.00 each.
